Tasty fun, especially on hot days: cold watermelon turns into three fresh FOODMONSTAS for snacking — shark, hedgehog, or crab. With FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES, melon teeth, and simple cuts, it becomes a quick summer snack for little monster fans.

PREPARATION
Choose your monster — shark, hedgehog, or crab — and follow the matching steps. Build only one version per plate. For round eye bases, crab claws, or other precise shapes, you can use small metal cookie cutters like the ones used for dough. Without cutters, the shapes also work with a small sharp knife and a little crafting skill.
SHARK: Cut a round watermelon slice about 3 cm thick. From another piece of watermelon, cut the triangular fins and fix them with small wooden skewers; be sure to remove the skewers before serving. Cut a wide half-moon mouth into the flesh and carefully remove that piece. Cut honeydew melon or white watermelon rind into small triangles and place them inside the shark mouth as teeth. For the eyes, optionally add two small round honeydew pieces as pale bases so the FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES (22 mm) stand out more clearly. Add the eyes only shortly before serving, pressing them onto the bases or directly into the side of the fruit flesh.
HEDGEHOG: Cut a thick half-moon slice of watermelon, about 3 cm thick, with the rind still attached. Make small pointed cuts along the top rind edge — these become the spikes. Shape one side into a pointed snout. From the scraps, cut four short strips as little legs and place them under the body. Let the surface dry briefly, then press one FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES (15 mm) onto the snout and push one watermelon seed into the flesh as the nose.
CRAB: Cut a thick half-moon slice of watermelon, about 3–4 cm thick, with the rind still attached — this is the body. From the scraps, cut six narrow strips and arrange three on each side as legs. From larger scraps, shape two claws: one curved piece plus one small matching piece for each pincer, then place them at the sides of the body. Let the surface dry for 1–2 minutes, then press two FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES (22 mm) far apart on top of the body.
