One pear can become three simple FOODMONSTAS: an upright pear monster, a lying pear frog or a small pear shark. Choose one version per pear and build it with strawberry, blueberries and FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES as a quick fruit snack for kids.
A little peanut butter or nut butter, for attaching
ONLY FOR THE PEAR SHARK
6–10 mini marshmallows, halved if needed, for the teeth

PREPARATION
CHOOSE ONE VERSION
UPRIGHT PEAR MONSTER
Stand the pear upright, with the wide side at the bottom and the stem pointing up. If it wobbles, cut off a very thin slice from the bottom.
Add two small dots of peanut butter or nut butter to the upper half of the pear. Alternatively, lightly moisten the pear skin. Press one FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES onto each dot and hold briefly.
Cut a small horizontal slit into the middle of the pear. Push in a small piece of strawberry as the tongue.
Place a few blueberries near the bottom of the pear so they look like little hands and feet.
LYING PEAR FROG
Lay the pear on its side so the wide rounded part faces up and the stem points forward.
Add two small dots of peanut butter or nut butter on top of the pear. Alternatively, lightly moisten the pear skin. Press one FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES onto each dot.
Cut a small horizontal slit into the side of the pear. Push in a thin strawberry slice as the tongue.
Arrange three blueberries on each lower side so they look like little feet.
LYING PEAR SHARK
Lay the pear lengthwise on its side. Carefully cut into the narrow front end to create a small mouth. Do not cut too deeply so the pear stays stable.
Spread a thin layer of peanut butter or nut butter on the cut surfaces. Press the mini marshmallows into the top and bottom of the mouth as teeth.
Place a thin strawberry slice between the teeth as the tongue.
Cut two to three triangles from a small trimmed piece of pear. Attach the triangles to the side and back of the pear with a little peanut butter so they look like fins. Let the fins rest on the plate so they stay stable.
Add two small dots of peanut butter or nut butter on top of the pear. Alternatively, lightly moisten the pear skin. Press one FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES onto each dot.
Scatter a few blueberries loosely around the pear shark so they look like small water bubbles.
FOODMONSTA STEP: The FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES hold best on a small dot of peanut butter or nut butter. Alternatively, a lightly moistened pear skin can also work. Add the eyes only shortly before serving so the wafer paper does not soften.
TIPS
The pear should be firm and not overripe so it keeps its shape when cut. Keep all cuts shallow. The FOODMONSTAS WAFER EYES hold best with a little peanut butter or nut butter; a lightly moistened pear skin can also be enough. Serve immediately after assembling.
